I dont really understood what you meant by "active again". I never really stopped being active and I dont plan to do so any time soon.

DREADFUL RELIC spawned upon this cursed world during the first bloodmoon of 2014. Its aim is no other than to curse, to spit scorn and hate , to invoke powers from the timeless Gods and their reign in the old worlds. An Archaic Noise in the form of BLACK MYTHICAL METAL.

 

2) I know you are a historical member of DER STURMER. What is success and why you have leaved from that band? DER STURMER actually are active? I know soon exit a live split with EVIL from Brazil on vinyl format... 

I left the band because of personal reasons that of course HAS NOTHING TO DO with musical or ideological differences. Yes, Der Sturmer are still active.

Athens is a really historical town. Actually it’s one of the oldest European cities concerning its history that goes thousands of years back. Despite the growing urbanization that took place the last decades, there are still places around Athens that have a certain mystical aura, the breath of the ages.

 
4) What is the typical things, architecture, sculpture, natural point and other who the ancient Hellas give you pleasure in your mind and honour to be born in Greece? 

Of course Acropolis, a monument that everyone knows because it’s something like a landmark of the Western Civilization. But there are many more things in Athens to see and sometimes not only from the antiquity but also up to 1800`s era. These years were very important because Athens was the epicenter of a nation-state reborn and there was an ongoing cultural renaissance with poets, architects, writers, philosophers and sightseers from Hellas and from all around Europe coming and living in Athens. 

Our main influences come from HELLHAMMER & CELTIC FROST but also from bands like early SODOM, early ABSU and more... We grew up with these bands and their records, and in a way, with such sounds and lyrics in our ears, we shaped our worldview through the years. Maybe this might sound something foreign and distant to some, but for us it’s exactly the opposite. It’s our home and where we belong. So when DREADFUL RELIC were created, it flowed outwards naturally.

It’s not just a prelude for the first track of Archaic Conjurations, but something that represents DREADFUL RELIC`s concept in its entirety and its quintessence, including the birth and the source of the band’s name - an offspring of mysteries and the secrets of steel, heralding the rise of the Tyrant who shall rule with an axe!

It’s not a mini-album but a 12” EP. At first our intention was do a 7"EP but since its playtime was exceeding that of a 7" we decided to do this EP in a 12" format in the tradition of masterpieces like EXPRUSE OF SODOMY, TRAGIC SERENADES, HAUNTING THE CHAPEL etc.

 
8) Actually you are in the work for realize the first full-length album? What name have this time? After that, the band have intentions to play in some selected live gigs?

Right now we are working towards the realization of our debut album, but it’s something that will take place not earlier than 2017. We won’t rush, it’s not in our plans to record a new release each year or so. 

About the gigs, yes, it’s something we will do as well, and as things look now the first gig will be before the release of the album but it’s too early to talk about it. Everything will be announced in the proper time.

Yes, HOT SHOWER gonna be the first time that our Tyrannical odes will be presented on stage. We are really looking forward to it! The line up is for sure intresting. There is intresting, some so and so and also mediocre bands as well. Needless to say that its great more than anything else that SPEAR OF LONGINUS will play there. They are among my all-time favorite bands!

Absolutely! To be more specific, when I wrote the lyrics for WARLORDS OF COSMIC SOVEREIGN, among others, I was also inspired by ideas and worldview of Pre-Socratic philosophers. In the debut album there is a track whose theme is inspired by the tragedy "Prometheus Bound" by Aeschylus. The heavy shadow of Ancient Hellenic masterpieces constantly falls upon us.

DREADFUL RELIC is a force of elitist nature. Taking this into consideration, it’s natural that our approach on music and lyrics will be totally different from most of nowadays bands that shamefully call themselves "black metal"

Yes, of course! TOTENKOPF PROPAGANDA is still active, and as long as I’m here, it will always be. At the moment, new releases are prepared and will be released very soon! FROST & FIRE is also my label. Its birth came at the same time with DREADFUL RELIC. Its purpose was to serve as a medium that would took care of DREADFUL RELIC`s releases, merchandise etc. However, soon it went further than that as I decided to release music from other bands too, stuff that don’t fit to the typical Totenkopf Propaganda roster. Also the web-shop is a necessary function in order to finance the releasing activities and even further than that.

Hjarulv writes most of the music in DREADFUL RELIC and as far as iknow, with few exceptions he is not a so frequent (if not at all) listener of Dark Ambient. I, on the other side like a lot this type of music. Mostly i like stuff from the early and mid 90`s and also few records from the 70s from artists such as Tangerine Dream, Klaus Schulze etc

Coming to the "Folk Symphonic Pagan Metal" , if you mean kitsch stuff such as korpiklaani, nokturnal mortum, moonsorrow, graveland , finntroll and other clowns. Then its something that we really detest. 

 

Depends on the point of view or what exactly you interpret as such. If we take it in their common meaning, to a certain extent i still have an intrest in matters. However this doesn`t go further than reading a book or something similar.

There are no plans for a split. With another Hellenic band especially!

The debut full-length, preparations for live gigs and maybe some merchandise. These are our plans for the near future and that includes the remaining of 2016 and the entirety of 2017.
